Ghana face Egypt, Congo, Uganda in 2018 World Cup qualiyfing

The Black Stars will face very familiar foes, Egypt, in Group E of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers which starts later this year.

The other teams in the group are Congo Brazzaville and Uganda. The draw was done in Cairo on Friday.

20 teams were in the hat as they waited to see their route for the next World Cup.

While Ghana will consider its group as relatively kind, some teams will look at theirs with a lot more worry.

Nigeria find themselves in Group B with Zambia, Cameroon and the continent’s top ranked side, Algeria. The group boasts former AFCON winners and former World Cup campaigners.

Defending African champions, Cote d’Ivoire, are in Group C with Mali, Gabon and Morocco.

Senegal, South Africa, Burkina Faso and Cape Verde are in Group D.

Tunisia are in Group A with Libya, Congo DR, and Guinea.

The qualifiers begin in October and they run until November 2017.
