Peacekeeping funds not diverted – GAF

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has denied reports that funds meant for troops on peacekeeping mission in Lebanon have been diverted.

There are reports that the over eight hundred troops are stranded in Lebanon because of delays in their payment.

The troops are of the conviction that the money has been released, but may have been diverted, hence their agitations.

However, the Director of Public Affairs, at the GAF, L.t Aggrey Quarshie, told Citi News, the soldiers will receive their payment before the end of their rotation later this month.
