Otumfuor to meet Kotoko board today

Life Patron and owner of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, will today meet the board of the club in a bid to diagnose and find a solution to issues retarding the progress of the club.

Asante Kotoko have endured a turbulent start to the 2015/2016 league season and have already taken steps to dispense with the services of substantive head coach David Duncan as a result.

Kotoko picked up only their second win of the campaign at Baba Yara on match day 7 against Liberty Professionals to lift them from the bottom of the table.

The Monarch who rarely meddles in the affairs of the team paid a surprise visit to their training ground at Adako Jachie last week following reports that the management of the club led by CEO, Opoku Nti, were in a tussle with David Duncan after asking him to step aside.

He also met and interacted with players of the club and promised to acquire a new bus to replace the current one if they delivered a win over Liberty which they managed.

The meeting is to follow through on his promise to the players of catering for issues off the pitch while they concentrate on what happens on the field.
