In a dramatic turn of events following Asante Kotoko’s decision to sack coach David Duncan, the manager, who has refused to bow out, today [Tuesday], turned up for training at the club’s training ground at Adako Jachie in Kumasi.
Duncan arrived to meet an empty training ground as communication had gone on the night before to have Tuesday’s session moved to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Duncan remains defiant insisting that he is still the legitimate manager of the club and has refused to leave his post despite the club’s instructions for him to leave.
The training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was supervised by interim coach Michael Osei, who according to reports is likely to be named the substantive manager.
Kotoko are currently bottom of the league log after picking up just 5 points in their 6 matches played.
