Fans angry with Madonna for arriving 3 hours late for concert

Madonna left fans furious after she reportedly arrived three hours late for a concert.

The Rebel Heart hitmaker was scheduled to begin her show in Brisbane, Australia on Wednesday night at 8pm.

But her loyal followers became increasingly frustrated when it was announced she would step on stage after 10.30pm – and she reportedly eventually appeared at 11.22pm.

“Madonna going for a record in Brisbane tonight. 3 hours late to stage, heading for midnight sorry luv this diva behaviour not cool #madonna,” one concertgoer wrote on Twitter.

“WOW! Losing love for madonna in B risbane. 3 hours late and counting. Diva much?!” another said.

Another fan wrote: “It was just announced that # Madonna is not going to arrive till 10.30 at the EARLIEST (1.5hrs late). Hate it.”

According to Australia’s Courier Mail, after singing Body Shop she joked to crowds at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre: “I’m hardly ever late. It’s you people that get here early, that’s the problem.

“Just come late and I won’t have to come early.

“We’ve got three more shows and we want to fix the problem.”

In December she was an hour late performing for fans in Mancester and said she was delayed due to a production fault.

Last week she was accused of turning up four hours late to a show in Melbourne.

The 57-year-old, who is currently locked in a bitter legal squabble with ex-hubby Guy Ritchie over custody of their 15-year-old Rocco, recently hit back at claims she was intoxicated while performing one of her two hour shows.

The star took to Instagram to repost a Facebook comment from a supportive US fan.

“Thanks for supporting me. Too bad people don’t know the art of acting and playing a character. I could never do any of my shows high or drunk,” she captioned the fan’s lengthy post.

She continued: “And yes underlying all of this is sexism and misogyny which proves that not only do we not get equal pay bUt we are still treated like heretics if we step out of line and think outside the box! Sexism is alive and kicking but I am #livingforlove.”
