Belvy Ofori, Miss Tourism 2014, will on March 5 hold a public lecture amidst games to empower young women in the country.
The objective of the event, according to Victor Kwame Kafui Ativie, events manager of S-Prima, is to bring young women together, empower them and create a platform of fun and relaxation for young women.
According to a statement from S-Prima, through the charity event, young women from all walks of life would be convened at one destination for the purpose of networking, fun, sharing ideas and experiences, trading and promoting a sense of belongingness.
The event is to also help young women become self-confident and accepted in society without engaging in any vice or wrongful behaviours, it added.
It said every female carries in their womb the hope of a nation, adding that when women gather for a common purpose, there is enough impact to build a nation of purposeful people.
The statement further stated that in recent times, women hardly gather for the purpose of fun and networking, thus, making partnership with one another very scarce.
“The event day would be fun packed; women will engage in activities such as ‘ampe’, tug-of-peace, ‘pilolo’, sack race, red carpet catwalk, photo shoot, karaoke, talent show, music bash, dancing and eating contests,” it added.
The event comes off at Marvels MiniGolf & Club House, Dzorwulu, at 10:00am and admission is free!
