Societe Generale Ghana has opened an ultra-modern branch at Airport City in Accra as part of efforts to bring modern banking to strategic communities.
The new branch provide customers with 24/7 ATM for all VISA, Ghana Link and MasterCard users, Western Union and MoneyGram Money remittances and loans and overdrafts at very competitive rates.
Addressing staff and guests at the opening ceremony, Kofi Ampim, Board Chairman of Societe Generale Ghana, said the bank intends to bring its products and services to the doorsteps of its clients and prospective customers.
“It is the bank’s long term strategy to build customized branches to cater for the specific needs of each community it serves because the bank realizes that each is different,” he said.
Sionle Yeo, Managing Director of the bank, in his remarks said “the product and services that the Airport City branch will offer are retail accounts; investment products, insurance products, overdraft; loans; SMEs; corporate, International business center and privileged banking services.”
“We aim to make this branch and all our other branches located in business districts, the hub of our retail and SME activities,” he added.
Mr Yeo said the Airport branch is the 41st branch to serve as a hub for its retail, small and medium enterprises and privileged banking activities.
Raymond Amanfor, Head of Banking Institution, Bank of Ghana (BoG), commended management of the bank for expanding their reach, urging the bank to improve access to financial services and deepen its financial intermediary role.
