President John Mahama

President John Mahama is set to join Ghanaian hiplife music group, VVIP, and other top celebrities to clean Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, on Saturday, March 5.

President Mahama on Monday received an invitation to be part of a massive clean-up exercise and musical jam which will be attended by a large number of celebrities, including stakeholders in the creative arts industry.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah received the invitation on behalf the president from the organisers led by Nene Ocansey, chairman of Broadway Entertainment.

Nene Ocansey disclosed that matters of keeping the environment clean is crucial, hence their decision to invite President Mahama to be part of the big event.

He expressed confidence that the presence of President Mahama and the celebrities would attract more people in Kumasi and its environs to take part in the exercise.

A number of activities such as musical concert which will feature some hiplife artistes will also take place after the clean-up exercise.

Broadway Entertainment is collaborating with Zoomlion Ghana Limited and Environmental Services Providers Association (ESPA) to organise the event.
