Ghana front man Mahatma Otoo has described his maiden goal in the pre-season as a good sign.

The former Hearts of Oak man cancelled lower tier Forde’s early opener with a spectacular strike in their 2-2 drawn game on Wednesday night.

He said in a post-match telephone interview that “It is a good sign ahead of the season. Am praying it continues, we are having an excellent pre-season, am well conditioned and it reflected in the way we played today.”

“We don’t want to take chances, our training program is something else, and I believe we will do well when the league starts.”

“The entire team is in great shape, we are praying for an injury free season to make impact.”

The 24-year-old explosive forward was ushered into action for the first time in pre-season by Sogndal manager Eirik Bakke and he expressed himself in the frontline with a powerful finish to cancel out Forde’s opening goal.

Otoo, 24, a former Ghana Premier League golden shoe award winner, hit the back of the net  13 times  to propel Sogndal back to the Norwegian top-flight after they  were relegated two seasons ago.
