The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) says the authority will continue to provide normal uninterrupted air traffic services to the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) despite the brawl between the Air Navigation Wing of the authority and the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
According to the GCAA, the current operational impasse between its Air Navigation Wing and the GACL is being resolved by the two entities.
Earlier reports had suggested that the KIA’s air traffic services are to be disrupted this Friday 19th February, 2016, due to some misunderstanding between the two entities.
Passenger en route aircrafts overflying the Accra information region would not have been affected if the disruption took place.
But in a statement copied to Citi Business News the GCAA assured all air transport passengers, airline operators and the general public that the authority had halted all intended disruption advising the Air Traffic Controllers Association, the Ghana Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association and all other stakeholders involved to call off their proposed interruption in air traffic services to the Kotoka International Airport.
Earlier the Transport Ministry stepped in to resolve the matter.
