New lady captain of Achimota Golf Club Peace Akwei begun reign in a spectacular fashion by emerging tops in the first ladies monthly medal at the club.
She recorded an impressive 70 net to win in the bronze division, the first group with Christine Furler following a 74net.
In like manner, Nana Bema Tackie, Competition Secretary finished first in the silver division with a net of 70, after beating Margaret Anderson with just a stroke.
The new captain described the first monthly medal by the new executives of the ladies category as successful.
It drew many golfers from Tema and host, Achimota with those excelling taking home trophies.
“It’s been a successful tournament, it is our first Monthly Medal and I can say the turnout and organization has been wonderful. We hoping to play more competitions,” said the Lady Captain.
