If there is any name in the Ghanaian music industry that could force a smile on your face whilst plunging you into a state of bewilderment and awe, that name will surely be the young urban, Afrocentric singer Kweku Bizkit. This name makes Fred Durst’s Limp Bizkit sound almost less hilarious.

Kweku Bizkit, a waakye fanatic, has proven over the years, the authenticity and originality of his music. Comic pidgin lyrics laced with urban ewe and patois is what gives Kweku Bizkit’s a touch of uniqueness.

Having had a couple of singles to his credit such as “Follow Follow”, “Wangolo”, “Shocking Wind” and the latest club banger “Bubble Up” on the AVO Riddim, Kweku has entrenched his position as far as urban Afro-dancehall is concerned. How are you gonna set your party playlist rolling without bubbling up?

The Bizkit is set to drop Swing It; his first single for 2016 on Monday, February 29th. “Swing It” which is just a warmer to the year, is a mid-tempo Afro-dancehall tune features Alimo and was produced by the sensational producer Brainy Beatz. “Swing It” is indifferently another song which conceptualizes an African party where a girl catches the attention of the dance floor with her wild dance moves. That summarizes in the hook – “she go dey swing dey shake body.”

He further mentioned that he chose to drop “Swing It”on 29th February because leap days are special and come every four years. That makes “Swing It” a leap song he added.

Kweku Bizkit who also doubles as a Sales & Marketing Executive at Citi FM said he gets his inspiration to write music sometimes from melodies that keep popping in his head. He said he could be asleep and all of a sudden, a melody starts playing in his head. He’d add words to the melodies to get a nice hook, verses follow and there we have song.

He has in the past worked with artistes like Tinny and Scata Bada and is currently working on projects with VVIP, EL and a host of other mainstream artistes.

Future is on the bright side for the boy with the biscuit. Follow him on social media for regular updates:
