The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo, has urged student groups in the country to desist from resorting to demonstrations and fruitless confrontations in seeking to get their concerns addressed.
The Deputy Regional Minster, who was speaking at the launch of the 3rd Students Representative Council (SRC) Week celebration of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, expressed worry about reports of agitations by students.
He said strikes and demonstrations which lead to the destruction of school property, does not serve national interest.
“I urge all present to stand against such matters like strike and other demonstrations that do not depict the character of patriotism. As sacrifice-driven health personnel, you should rather focus on giving your best to the growth of this region and the nation as a whole.”
The theme for the week-long celebration is “Redefining Health and Student welfare: The fulcrum to National Development”
