Water rationing hits Tamale Metropolis [Audio]

There is water rationing in the Tamale Metropolis comparative to the acute water shortage which has hit some parts of the country.

Residents of the Kukuo electoral area whose taps flowed once in a month now have access to pipe borne water twice in a week.

Jakarayili residents have also been relieved by the water rationing arrangement.

Peri-Urban communities including Changli, Kukuo, Jakarayili, Dohin-Naayili, Banvim, Koblimahigu, SSNIT flats, Fuo and Kalpohini were the hardest hit during the acute water shortage era.

School children used to abandon the classroom for several weeks in search of water.

The Tamale Teaching Hospital, hairdressers, car washing bay and chop bar operators also suffered from the acute water shortage.

Much is desired of the services of the Ghana Water Company because Abdul Wahab Nambiri, Manager of Tete car washing bay told Citi News the rationing arrangement was affecting his business.
