Today [Tuesday] February 16, 2016, marks exactly a week since the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, was killed in his home at Shiashie in Accra.
The traditional practice of one-week celebrations, which is mostly by immediate and extended family members, is sometimes opened to the public. It is the period where families meet to set the date for the burial and funeral rites.
The event, which came off at the late MP’s family house at Tafo in the Akim Abuakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region, was attended by scores of people.
Mr.JB Danquah-Adu left behind a wife and two daughters.
The teenager, who allegedly killed the MP, was coincidentally charged for murder today [Tuesday] when he made his first court appearance.
