The traditional practice of one-week celebrations, which is mostly by immediate and extended family members, is sometimes opened to the public. It is the period where families meet to set the date for the burial and funeral rites.

The event, which came off at the late MP’s family house at Tafo in the Akim Abuakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region, was attended by scores of people.
