WaleHShatta Wale donates to Police Hospital

A spokesperson of Shatta Wale, Chris Koney, has refuted news making waves that the dancehall commando did not donate to the Police Hospital in Accra.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station on Thursday, February 11, Chris said, “the donation was done by Shatta Wale and SM Movement.”

He said a close friend of one of the SM Movement, Saint Alpha, was tasked to facilitate all activities for the donation to be done.

“He [Alpha] has been into donation in the past and then he was tasked to liase with the Hospital, to get the date [for the donation] and everything done.

“Unknowingly, Alpha was part of an NGO which he even did not mention to anyone. Alpha was given money to buy everything … then he decided to invite members of his organisation to come and support,” Chris said.

Chris added that when it comes to financing and everything, that has got nothing to do with Alpha’s organisation.

He bemoaned the kind of journalism being practiced by Ghbase (the blog that published the allegation levelled against Shatta) and some other journalists in the showbiz.

“The donation was done as part of King Bone’s (Shatta Wale’s friend), birthday. [Again], the donation was done by Shatta Wale,” Chris said.
