Okay FM apologises for Schwarzenegger, Kennedy Agyapong battle

Accra based radio station, Okay FM, has apologized to its listeners for the war of words which ensued between presenter Afia Schwarzenegger and the Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyepong.

In the last few weeks, the two have been exchanging unprintable insults on radio.

It started when Schwazzneger, whose real name is Valentina Afia Agyeiwaa, attacked Kennedy Agyepong for insulting the mother and brother of the President, John Dramani Mahama.

The MP for Assin North replied the radio presenter by accusing her of bed-wetting and threatened to “post her nude pictures on social media.”`

In a statement dated February 9, 2016, Okay FM condemned the actions of the presenter.

“The structure of the Despite Group of Companies is NOT to malign, denigrate, insult or condone and support acts of insults against personalities in society,” the statement stated.

Okay FM also “extend our unequivocal apology to the general public, Oman FM, Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, and all other persons who may have been scandalized or have suffered in any way as a result of this incident.”

“Management is handling the issues surrounding the conduct of our presenter internally and also in the best interest in our business.”
