Asokwa United striker, Joel Fameyeh has returned from trials with French Ligue 1 sides Stade Rennais and Bastia.
The player who shot into the limelight following his breathtaking two goals against Ivory Coast during the CHAN qualifiers for the Local Black Stars team at the Baba Yara stadium left Accra last month for trials with these two french Clubs in a hope of landing a lucrative deal. last Saturday on trials.
However, according to sources close to the player, though all the trials with both Clubs went well, officials of Asokwa United failed to reach a deal, in time for closure of the European transfer window, an action that means he will return to his former Club.
The player arrived in Ghana on Friday evening will join his new teammates at Wa All Stars, a team that registered him ahead of the coming football season.
All is not lost for Fameyeh, as it will give him an opportunity to play in the Ghana Premier League for the very first time as he had always dreamed.
