Robbers Kill Businesswoman At Klagon

A 40-year-old business woman was killed at dawn yesterday at her uncompleted residence in Klagon near Ashaiman in the Tema Metropolis of Accra.

The woman, who recently returned from the United States of America, was identified as Ama Kyerewaa Addo. She was said to have been strangled to death by the unknown assailants who made away with nothing.

She left behind two girls, aged 14 and 5, whose father is domiciled in the United States. Her 14-year-old daughter, who was also not spared in the dastardly act, rather survived with some bruises around her neck.

The lifeless body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police Hospital in Accra pending autopsy. The Community 18 District police are investigating the heinous act.

The two children were also sent to a health facility for psychological and medical attention.

Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicated that the killers used one of the sliding windows at the back of the two-storey building to get access into her room.

She was held hostage together with her two children by the killers who demanded money and properties but the deceased was said to be uncooperative, compelling them to strangle her.

Dzigbordi Apeiku, a cleaner in the house of Madam Ama Kyerewaa Addo, told DAILY GUIDE that one of the children was Wednesday morning heard screaming for help through a window.

According to her, she and some other residents rushed to the room only to see their mother lying on the floor dead.
