Newly appointed Premier League Board (PLB) chairman, Ashford Tetteh Oku has called on the Ghana Football Association to back his administration to succeed.

The experienced football administrator succeeded the longest-serving chairman of the Premier League Board, Welbeck Yaw Abra-Appiah after a 10-year illustrious reign.

Ashford who is yet to taste his first experience as the PLB boss with the start of the new season on February 20 insists he will only excel if he gets the support of the football people.

“The major tool that will help me succeed at my new position is the support of the GFA, and if I say support not the tangible ones but the backing and goodwill of everybody in the football fraternity to be able to deliver, all other things will follow”, he told Starr Sports.

Meanwhile, the PLB is yet to officially announce its vice chairman and other members of the board.
