High life musician, Kwaisey Pee speaking to AM Pluzz claims that musicians who do not have any affiliations in the entertainment industry in Ghana are left to their own fate.

Speaking to Sammy Flex, he said “ if a person is in the music industry, he has to know someone who is close to some top officials in the game to link him up before he can attain a name or height which is wrong.

“I believe if someone is good, he is good and does not need to beg for opportunities. The favoritism is too much and everyone wants to kiss ass which is bad. Although everyone knows me, I might not be getting those calls for gigs because of these things but that does not mean I am irrelevant,” he said as reported in Flex Newspaper.

Real name Akwasi Opoku, he was born to the legendary highlife artist, Agyeiku, and grew up with Rex Omar as a first cousin.

His music life started when he played with various bands like that of Jewel Ackah’s Butterfly Six and Nana Tuffour’s Sikadwa.

Kwaisey Pee is currently promoting his new single titled; Osugyani which he produced.
