Nana Akufo-Addo responding to cheers
NANA ADDO Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has charged Ghanaians to kick the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government out of office in the November elections.
Nana Akufo-Addo stated categorically that the country would never experience the massive development that the citizenry have been craving for if the non-performing President Mahama-led NDC administration remained in political office.
In this regard, he charged the electorate, especially those that have the development of Ghana at heart, to cast their ballots for the NPP since it is the only political party that really has answers to Ghana’s predicament.
Nana Akufo-Addo said the crusade to vote President Mahama and the NDC administration out of political office should be supported by every Ghanaian because it is an action to save the country from collapsing further.
“Use your thumb to vote President Mahama and the NDC government out of office,” he charged, adding, “this administration has compounded Ghana’s problems so it doesn’t deserve to be in office for another term.”
Nana Akufo-Addo was addressing scores of traders at the Kumasi Central Market when he and other NPP gurus visited the market to console hundreds of traders whose stores were recently gutted by an inferno.
Interestingly, the traders, who lost their sources of livelihood through the fire, seemed to have forgotten about their predicament following Nana Akufo-Addo’s unannounced visit to the place.
Instead of displaying mournful faces, the fire victims were surprisingly seen singing victory songs, with most of them shouting Nana Akufo-Addo’s name loudly as if they had not suffered any mishap.
Nana Addo assured the traders that the tribulations confronting Ghanaians are almost over, indicating that the upcoming elections present the people with the best opportunity to replace the NDC government.
He stated that he boasts of a competent team of experienced, visionary, patriotic and hardworking people who could turn the fortunes of the country around to bring smiles back onto the faces of the citizenry.
.
The NPP standard bearer therefore implored the traders in particular and Ghanaians in general to rally behind the party to topple the NDC administration in order to bring massive transformation and relief to them.
He said he is not seeking the highest office on the land to amass wealth at the detriment of the ordinary Ghanaian who would vote him into power, stating that corruption would not have a place in his government.
Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed that he wants to help reduce the untold hardships the NDC government has brought onto Ghanaians.
The NPP leader said the high unemployment situation among Ghanaian youth would be a thing of the past in his administration.
He said the party was banking its hope on Asanteman to deliver one touch victory to it, indicating that Asanteman had never disappointed the party over the years “and I hope it will continue this year too.”
On behalf of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo presented 200 bags of cement and other items to the affected traders so that they could rebuild their stores which were flattened by the inferno some weeks ago.
He charged the government to quickly find a lasting solution to the rampant fire outbreaks in Ghanaian markets which had destroyed properties and rendered several traders poor.
The crowd that invaded the street to catch a glimpse of the NPP leader was so huge that it virtually blocked the road, making it impossible for vehicles to move.
Nana Akufo-Addo, who is greatly adored by the people of Kumasi, had to stand on top of his vehicle and wave back to the enthusiastic crowd that was shouting, ‘Nana Wo Krom’ (to wit ‘Nana is in town).’
