Berekum Chelsea boss Solomon Odwo says he does not know where his lead striker Kofi Owusu is at the moment.
Owusu scored 19 goals to light up the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League and also helped Berekum Chelsea finish 4th on the league table.
The lethal forwards performance has attracted the interest of some of the best clubs on the continent, with Zamalek and CAF Champions TP Mazembe touted as likely destinations.
“If I have to be frank with you I do not know where Kofi Owusu is at the moment,” Solomon Odwo told Citi-sports
“The last time I asked about him, management told me that he was in Egypt and the other time they said he was in Europe.”
“That has been the story so it’s difficult to tell where he is at the moment.”
Hearts, Kotoko and even AshGold were among some of the clubs in Ghana to have shown interest in the player but Odwo says they all fell below the requirement.
“Hearts, Kotoko and even AshGold showed interest in him but after we spoke they could not meet his valuation and that was it.”
“ So as it stands he is still our player and nothing has changed.’”
