A 17-YEAR-OLD plexiform neurofibromatosis patient who accordingly needs urgent plastic surgery to save his life has appealed to members of the general public for financial support to enable him to undergo the surgery.

Marlisuo Mechael, who requires two staged 2-3 reconstructive surgery on account of a plexiform neurofibromatosis of the right side of his face, made the appeal to the public through DAILY GUIDE on Monday in Accra.

According to medical documents he (Mechael) submitted to this paper from the Korle-Bu Teaching where he is expected to undergo the surgery, each stage of the surgery will cost him an amount of GH¢6,000.

But, Mechael cried that he cannot afford the cost because his parents who are supposed to look after him are all seriously sick at Nandom in the Upper West Region.

He, therefore, urged that help from the public towards his surgery be channeled through the Western Publications, publishers of DAILY GUIDE; the Director of Plastic Surgery Department at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr O.W. Ampomah or his caretaker, Narbi Jacob via 0204346176.
