Ghana Premier League clubs had up till Wednesday to conclude the signings for the new season.

There was hive of activity on transfer deadline day as some clubs pushed deals through including shocking ones. brings you Top FIVE signings on the deadline day ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

Joel Fameyeh

Asokwa Deportivo’s Joel Sowah Fameyeh was the most sought after player during the transfer period.

Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold, Hearts of Oak and Ivorian Ligue 1 champions AS Tanda were all chasing the 19-year-old striker’s signature.

Reports appeared in the early hours of the deadline day that Asante Kotoko had signed the lethal forward but shockingly Wa All Stars were able lure goal machine to a deal with them.

Babawo was linked with a move to champions Ashanti Gold SC but proved futile.

Sekondi Hasaacas announced the signing of the naturally gifted footballer hours after the transfer window has closed.

Samudeen Ibrahim

Hearts of Oak announced the capture of Samudeen Ibrahim from GN Bank Division side King Solomon on the transfer deadline day.

Samudeen Ibrahim was named Best Player in the Division League last season after being adjudged man of match six times in the 2014/2015 season.

New Edubiase and Wa All Stars were the most likely destinations for the young midfielder but Hearts of Oak broke bank to complete his signing on the last day of transfer.

2007/2008 Ghana Premier League top scorer Eric Bekoe signed a year deal with Sekondi Hasaacas on transfer deadline day which surprised most football fans.

Reports earlier suggested the 2008 CAF Confederation Cup goal king was close to joining Hearts of Oak but the deal fell through when the Phobians opted for Samuel Yeboah instead.

Bekoe, 29, is set to re-launch his career after years in the wilderness.

Emmanuel Hayford

Emmanuel Hayford was able to land a deal with a Premier League club after being sacked from Hearts of Oak later last year.

Hearts claimed Hayford was shown the exit door because indiscipline and malingering.
