Yfm’s finest Disc Jockey, DJ Vision, ahead of Wednesday’s release of his first ever single titled, This Year, featuring Mr Eazi, responded to claims that he may be saying goodbye to disc jockeying should things go well for him in his new calling.

He told NEWS-ONE on Tuesday that he didn’t see himself quitting disc jockeying.

According to him, he loves new challenges and adding music to Disc Jockeying is a challenge he wants to take up for the rest of his life.

“I always wanted to challenge myself with new things…So I decided to go into music this year … I’m going to do both. I can never quit DJing (sic),” he said.

His new Afrobeat single was officially released on the internet on Wednesday, January 20 via major music download portals.

“It is a song you want to listen to before you start your day. It is something to get you going. This year is going to be a good year. Just put in work and God will bless you,” DJ Vision said, announcing that he would drop his maiden album in the middle of this year.

Vision is described as an award-winning Disc Jockey. Born Aboagye Essah Francis, he is popularly known on the turntables for his morning drive show, ‘Ryse & Shyne’, on Yfm which airs every day.

He also plays at some of Ghana’s finest and major nightclubs.

His dexterity got him playing on platforms like Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA), 020live, Coco Lounge and Champs Bar among others.

Vision DJ, as he is sometimes called, has performed alongside Trey Songz, Ludacris, Fablous, Red Cafe, D’banj, Neato C, Ice Price and WizKid.

He has also been a DJ for artistes like 4X4, Asem, Keche and also for dancehall diva Kaakie among others.

But now he has added a new calling as a musician. Time will tell if he can keep up with the numerous musicians on the scene.
