Sarkodie a Ghanaian a hip-life/hip-hop artist was born Michael Owusu Addo and he hails from tema.
Awards won by Sarkodie are as follows :
He won The Best International Act – African Category @ the 2012 BET Awards,he was also nominated in the same category @ 2014 BET Awards.
He won the best rapper of the year 2012 and 2010.
He won the African Artist of the year at Headies in 2012.
Sarkodie is also known as the original of Azonto in Africa.
Sarkodie is the fourth born of five children to her mother Maame Aggrey in Tema,his mom raised them as a single parent.
