Kotoko have parted ways with striker Ahmed Toure over gross insubordination and lack of commitment, the club has announced.

Toure refused to turn up for the side’s pre-season following a botched move to Lebanese side Lebanese champions Nejmeh SC.

The club has confirmed terminating his contract for his lack of commitment to the club.

“Ahmed Toure’s contract at Kotoko has been terminated, he has displayed gross subordination and non-commitment towards the club”, Deputy Operations Manager,

Ali Maradona is quoted by GazzettaGhana.

“His contract has been terminated and due to that we didn’t register him for the coming season so officially, he is not part of us.”

The 28-year-old scored 11 goals for the Porcupine Warriors last season.
