Come February 14, 2016, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), over 30 couples will enjoy an all-expenses-paid wedding, courtesy Happy FM.
In its 11th edition, the Happy FM Mass Wedding is arguably the biggest mass wedding event in Ghana in recent years. Over the past years, the station has made the matrimonial dreams of close to 500 couples come true by covering all costs for the couples.
The event has played an invaluable role of giving couples the peace of mind to concentrate on building a life after the wedding, while Happy FM takes on the heavy-lifting on their behalf.
According to the Head of Corporate Communications of Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company, the mother company of Happy FM, Naomi Nelson-Barnes, “For 10 years this event has brought together countless households and touched thousands of lives by providing a solid foundation on which couples are unified and grow old together.
Over the years, we have done our bit not only to organise this event, but to also keep in touch with the couples and assist them whichever way we can. Indeed, they have become like family to us, and we are truly proud of having been able to play such an important role in their lives.”
She added that Happy FM as a people-centred media house will continue to positively affect the lives of Ghanaians through this event and other programmes in 2016 and the years to come.
The participating couples are currently undergoing weekly pre-marriage counselling with experienced marriage counsellors at the premises of Happy FM. This is part of intensive trainings that couples will be taken through before the marriage ceremony.
Other important activities that will help the couples in their marriage life will also be organised to give them a full pre-marriage package which will help them prepare for their future.
