Management of Kotoko has appealed to the media to pay heed to the admonition given by the Manyhia Palace to stop announcing changes in the leadership of Kotoko at will.

Rumours of a so-called likely change the current Kotoko administration gained so much currency late last year with sections of the media emphatically reporting that the present Kotoko management headed by club legend, Samuel Opoku Nti were on their way out.

But the Owner and Life Patron of Kotoko, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in a press statement issued by his Chef of Staff, Kofi Badu debunked those stories pointing out that, the Manhyia Palace at the right time would come out on the way forward of the club.

Yet in the last few days, some media houses have been back announcing that Opoku Nti has been removed in blatant disrespect of the initial advice from the Palace.

Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah in an interview with Asantekotokosc.com stressed the need for an end to such reports since they do the club no good.

“We are appealing to our colleagues in the media to desist from such announcements. It’s unhelpful and we request that, they put an end to that by respecting the position of Manhyia Palace as stated in their last press statement” said Ahenkorah.
