The very thick crowd at the launch. INSET: Stonebwoy performing on stage
The scene at the Odupon Kpehe Park at Kasoa could best be described as exhilarating, as some of the country’s finest artistes mounted a huge platform to commemorate the official launch of Onua FM recently.
Located within the premises of TV3, the venue for the event indeed was filled beyond capacity, with some standing all along the park fence wall and on roof tops.
Heat waves emanating from the crowd towards the platform were enough to describe the thickness of the crowd.
The artiste who performed during the event included gospel artiste Joyce Blessing, Patience Nyarko and Afriyie.
BET award winner and dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, Kwa Atta and Shatta Wale also spiced up the night.
It was a night of great entertainment for the people as they kept urging the artistes on for more performances.
General Manager of Onua FM, David Masuba, launched the station’s ‘Ye Dwene Wo Ho’ tagline.
Head of the station, Nana Osei Asare, explained that transmission will cover the entire country, hoping that its collaboration with affiliate stations would soon materialise.
He added that a lot of emphasis will be placed on discussions that will lead to practical solutions to solving some of society’s challenges.
