Former Hearts of Oak coach, Mohammed Polo has disclosed that the only way he can return to his former club is when he is appointed the technical director of the club.

Polo who, during his play days as Hearts of Oak player was marvelous to watch as he gained the nickname “the dribbling magician”.

However, after hanging his boots, he has failed to replicate the magic of his playing days in his managerial career, blaming the impatience of clubs as the reason.

Polo who was heavily criticized during his coaching career with the Phobians has revealed that he would only return to the club as a technical director and not the head coach.

Board Chairman of the Oak Family, Togbe Afede acknowledged the coaching prowess of the ‘Dribbling Magician’, touting him as the best coach he has ever seen.

The comment by Togbe raised concerns as to whether Polo is being eyed by the Rainbow family.

But when asked whether he will return to the former Premier League champions as head coach, the ex-footballer said he will only make a stop at the club when he is appointed technical director

“I can only accept an offer as the technical director fo the club and not the head coach. It will also not accept to work under the new coach as an assistant. So the best will be the role of a technical director,” Polo said.

“Even with that, the coach must be made to understand that I did the work before he came and for that matter I have the experience as a former player too.

“If he is a learner and accepts that, then I can work with him. Either than that, I will never return to Hearts in any other capacity,” Polo concluded.

Mohammed Polo was appointed on interim bases after the dismissal of Duncan in 2014 and he steered the club to the third position.
