Okyeame Kwame and Annica
I doubt if there is any power couple in the Ghanaian showbiz who make marriage so attractive and beautiful more than Ghanaian rap artist Kwame Nsiah Appau popularly known as Okyeame Kwame and his ever-glowing wife Annica Nsiah Appau.
In a typical love story of a young musician striving to put his music career back on track after spending some years in the United States of America, moving from one radio station to the other for radio interviews were definitely a necessity and never did Okyeame Kwame know that he could find himself a woman whom he would later in his life call, ‘the mother of my kids’ and ultimately ‘my wife’.
Although a story told over and over again, that is how Okyeame Kwame met Annica. At the premises of Luv FM in Kumasi and typical of a young Kumasi musician who was in the spotlight, his rhymes were just on point (like a lazer) to woo the beautiful young woman. The two courted for 3 years prior to their marriage and as Okyeame Kwame tells me, “I was even pressured to marry her because I was delaying.”
Fast forward, seven years down the line, Okyeame Kwame and Annica are a true reflection of what many young married couples yearn for.
Seven is just special and it is worth celebrating. Do you have an idea why 7 is so special?
Seven is the number of completeness and perfection (both physical and spiritual). It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God’s creation of all things.

Do you get it now? Enough, let’s move to the real issue.
In a surprise phone interview placed to Okyeame Kwame by NY DJ on #RYSENSHYNE on Y102.5FM, Okyeame Kwame praised his wife describing her as the best thing to have ever happened to his life.
Asked if they faced the same problems other married couples face since they seem happy together always, Okyeame Kwame said,
‘We face the same problems every couple face; we quarrel, we argue over issues and all but the base line is knowing that all these are to bring out the best in everyone’s opinion of the issue under discourse”
Okyeame Kwame also revealed the secret to the solid relationship he has with his wife.
“My wife has been a solid backbone and my best friend. There are moments I decided to quit music but her advise and support kept me going. Life is war and so each day when I’m faced with the challenges, the mere fact that I can run home to my beautiful wife who will encourage me is good enough to keep me going.”
Annica, who also spoke disclosed marrying Okyeame Kwame has brought out the best in her as she wakes up a happy person each day knowing the place she has in Okyeame Kwame’s heart.
Okyeame Kwame and Annica are blessed with two children; a boy and a girl who have always been a part of their everyday movement.
