The Sparrow Entertainment Festival lived up to the hype as cinema enthusiasts were treated to two days of glamour, excitement and fabulous productions.

The two-day festival was well-attended and star-studded, as Sparrow Productions in the midst of other memorable experiences showed two of their exciting upcoming productions for the year; ‘Shampaign’ and ‘Rebecca’.

The two movie theatres at the Silverbird Cinema where the two productions were shown were filled to capacity with audience cheering loudly during the showing.

Some of the celebrities in attendance included Ama Abebrese, Nana Akua Addo, Yvonne Okoro, Zynnell Zuh, Akorfa Edjeani–Asiedu, Joselyn Dumas, Adjetey Annang, Ofie Kudjo, among others. Yvonne Okoro in an interview with Citi News indicated that ‘Rebecca’ has been her most challenging movie.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sparrow Productions, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, indicated that she is a “fun of great dialogue, hence I did well to write something that will excite and keep Ghanaians engaged during the movie.”

She further intimated that shooting ‘Rebecca’ was the most challenging movie she has done. She said the location made it particularly difficult. “I am satisfied with the outcome of this festival, especially with the reception that movies have had with the audience,” Shirley Frimpong-Manso added.

‘Rebecca’ and ‘Shampaign’ are expected to hit the cinemas soon.

The Sparrow Entertainment Festival2016, which is the maiden edition, promises to be an event worth looking forward to each year.
