Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink is impressed with the output of Ghana winger Christian Atsu.

Atsu returned to his parent Club after an unsuccessful spell with fellow English side Bournemouth.

The 23-year-old whose stint with Bournemouth was ruined by injuries could only make three competitive appearances for the Cherries.

The Ghanaian international has been training with the blues for the past two weeks in his quest to secure first team action at the Club.

Guus Hiddink who recalled the former FC Porto man from his loan spell with Bournemouth is besieged by the player’s contribution at training.

“Atsu is doing very well now, if he comes back he is impressing in many positions,” he told the Club’s official website.

“He is showing this week but must prove himself for a longer period, he is very agile and fast and has a good touch.

“But I have to calm down myself because I am very in favour of young players who are ambitious and brave but I must control myself and give him time.”

The 2015 Cup of Nations best player will be hoping to get a place in Chelsea’s team when they take on Everton this weekend.

The player has already been linked with a loan move to Spanish Levante, Galatasery and Hamburg.
