Kumasi-based hiplife artiste, Nana Kwabena Sekyere, who is also known in the showbiz circles as Don King will on Saturday mount the stage to perform at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fundraising rally to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi tomorrow, January 16.
Don King late last year released two singles titled “Ghanafoo Hwe Hwe Nana” and “Nana Bra Begye Yen” and its videos as campaign songs to support Nana Addo’s campaign for the presidency in 2016 elections.
The two songs highlight the empty promises of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and why Ghanaians must support Nana Akufo-Addo to become president.
Don King who will perform all the songs at the fundraising rally will use the occasion to launch the two singles.
He disclosed that he decided to release the two singles to support NPP in the 2016 electioneering campaign because Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when voted into power in 2016 will give the arts and culture industry the proper attention and incentives it needs to flourish in order to create jobs and wealth for its teeming youth.
“Nana Addo is the best presidential candidate to move the country’s development agenda forward”, he added.
The two singles titled, ‘Nana Bra Begye Yen’ and ‘Ghanafoo Hwe hwe Nana’ featured another hiplife act, D-Lawal.
The ‘Kotogye’ hit maker, has officially presented copies of the CDs to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako.
