Sports Writers Association of Ghana president Kwabena Yeboah has dismissed calls for the resignation of GHALCA boss Alhaji Ali Raji as ‘extreme’.

The chief of the club’s umbrella body is under mounting pressure following an unsavory comment against Aduana Stars.

The former Eleven Wise director is reported to have tagged the Dorma-based side as a ‘village’ team during the recently concluded G6 tournament.

Despite Raji’s public apology, calls for his resignation has piled.

“I quite agree with the position of the Brong Ahafo based clubs because you touch on their sensibilities,” he told Accra-based Atinka FM

“I don’t think it is right to call any one a villager in a derogatory manner but to push it to the extent that he should resign is too extreme.”
