AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo has announced his intention to contest the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairmanship position.

Fianoo, a former administrative secretary of the body, has decided to put in his bid when nominations are opened in March.

It was during his time that the welfare body for the clubs in the country organized the Top 4 tournament which raked in a lot of cash.

Fianooo said: “The once enviable reputation of GHALCA has been razed to the ground with accusations of corruption among some members and the time has come to reverse things and return GHALCA to its glory days.”

His contenders are likely to be current chairman Alhaji Ali Raji, Kofi Poku and Oduro Sarfo.
