Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila today donated assorted items worth GH 3,000 and a cash amount of GH 2,000 to Children at the Padre Pio Rehabilitation Centre, Ahotokrom in Cape Coast.
According to the Al Qadsia defender, ” Anybody could have found him or herself in this situation so it is important to help people in this situation.”
He asserted that he will continue supporting and visiting the children’s home anytime he is in Ghana.
Receiving the Items, sister Rose a management member at the home thanked Rashid for his kind gesture and pleaded with others to emulate him by supporting the home.
The Al Qadsia defender who has experienced the wonderful season with the Kuwaiti side is in the country for a short break after the first round of their league ended.
