CWG Ghana Limited, a member of the pan African ICT company, Computer Warehouse Group (CWG Plc), has received the GS ISO 9001:2008, a Quality Management System Standard that recertifies the company to provide world-class rate business enabling solutions in the country.
The issuance of the approval certificate follows a rigorous assessment carried out by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) following an application by CWG Ghana to have its Quality Management Systems (QMS) audited and certified in compliance with international standards and best practices.
This recertification confirms that CWG Ghana has an effective QMS in place.
The fundamental systems provided through the ISO 9001:2008 certification include assurances on customer satisfaction, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, continual improvement, fact-based decision-making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
According to a statement by the Approval Committee of the GSA, “The quality management system applies to the provision of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions to business entities in Ghana. These entail the provision of information and communication technology products and services solutions in the areas of infrastructure, software, communications and training that will ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.”
Patricia Odubote, Head, Quality Assurance & Metrics, CWG Plc, explained that receiving the ISO 9001:2008 certification is in line with the vision of the company to be the premier IT platform service provider in Africa by 2020.
Harriet Yartey, Country Manager, CWG Ghana Limited, highlighted the significance of the feat to the company’s operations.
“This recertification is an attestation to our continuous commitment to the provision of quality services per international standards through improving efficiency.
“It will also help us create a better working environment, as well as boost our staff morale.”
The certification is valid for a period of three years.
It would be recalled that CWG Ghana attained a similar feat in 2012 and the recertification in 2015.
CWG Ghana was founded in 2003 to offer leading edge technology to businesses in Ghana.
Over the years, CWG Ghana has provided the technology of business for customers in telecoms, oil & gas, banking, government, education, manufacturing and services in collaboration with renowned global partners and OEMs.
