Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has started intensive pre-season work with his Chinese club Shanghai SIPG in Spain.
This will be his first pre-season training with the Super League outfit after joining them midway through the season.
Gyan battled injuries in his debut season where he managed 10 league appearances and scored four goals.
The 30-year-old is determined to better his statistics like he did at UAE side Al Ain where he won three-goal king titles.
