On-trial Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan impressed Westerlo manager Bob Peeters by scoring the opening goal in their 3-0 win over KVV Coxyde in a club friendly on Friday.
The 21-year-old FC Twente midfielder opened the scoring with a close range finish in the 31st minute to highlight his scoring credibility before the watching Westerlo technical team.
Eghan, a former Ghana U20 triallist, also contributed to the second goal as Westerlo went ahead to record an emphatic win over the struggling Belgian second-tier side.
FC Twente permitted the Akosombo-born to train with Westerlo ahead of a proposed move to the club.
The Dutch FA have failed to grant a work permit to Eghan forcing him to look for a club elsewhere.
