Hearts of Oak
Hearts of Oak have been eliminated from the Ghalca G6 after suffering a 1-0 loss to Medeama SC in Group A on Friday.
An expertly struck spot kick by midfielder Malik Akowuah in the 74th minute ensured the Tarkwa based club claimed victory over the Phobians.
The spot kick was awarded by referee Dally Gagba after Phobian defender Philip Boampong brought down a Medeama player in the penalty box.
Hearts defender Isaac Oduro was given the marching orders in the 87th minute after a tackle from behind on a Medeama player.
The game recorded a notable error as referee Gagba mistakenly flashed the red card in the face of Boampong in the 57th minute.
Medeama SC, has bagged three points, needs just a draw against Aduana Stars in their last group match on Saturday to reach the G6 final
