Asante Kotoko has set a date with Aduana Stars in the finals of the GHALCA G6 tournament after managing a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors who fielded a second string side secured a vital point to book a place in the finals on Sunday.
Striker Kwame Boateng gave Kotoko the lead in the 19th minute after capitalizing on a blunder by Ashanti Gold defender Desmond Abgekonu to slot the ball past Fatua Dauda.
The Ghana Premier League Champions after toiling throughout the entire second half got the equalizer in the dying embers of the game after Isaac Amoah took a silky finish having got his way past Kotoko defender Tuffour Frimpong.
Kotoko will now face Aduana Stars who also defeated Medeama SC 3-0 in the finals on Sunday.
