The Parliamentary Candidate for Abetifi constituency for the New Patriotic Party in the Eastern Region, Bryan Acheampong, has fully taken over Okwahu United Fc.

According to myghevents.com, the surprise takeover was finalized late on Tuesday after talks with the Life Patron Nana Somuah Mireku Nyampong III.

The second-tier side was on the verge of going out of business but the parliamentary candidate for Abetifi constituency came to the rescue.

Although the club has prospered, debts have grown and it is estimated the new owner will stump up millions of Ghana cedis to resuscitate the club.

On top of that, Mr. Acheampong has pledged to plough even more resources into the club to move Okwahu united to the “next level”.

The former chief of staff of the former NPP chairman Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, has said he will continue to invest in the club to achieve more greatness for the club given the huge potential of this great club.

It is also believed the 100% takeover by Mr. Acheampong will ensure the unnecessary administrative wrangling is put to bed.
