Hearts of Oak showed glimpses of a side on the surge but could not put Aduana Stars to the sword in a 0-0 draw in their FirsTrust G6 opener on Thursday.
The Phobians were convincing for most parts of the match and should have taken the lead early but new signing Cosmos Dauda, clear on goal, shot feebly into the hands of goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
The match was delayed in the first half after the floodlights inside the stadium went off due to a technical hitch.
