Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who is among the top artistes from different parts of Africa lined up to perform at the 2015 Glo CAF Awards has disclosed that he will perform only one song per the agreement with organisers.

According to Shatta Wale, he will perform his Reality song because it is of interest to the show.

Speaking on Pluzz FM’s AM Pluzz on Wednesday, Shatta Wale recounted he was warmly welcomed by the people in Nigeria as well as the organisers.

“…They were like they know I have a lot of hit tracks but there is this particular track that really kills them. [It is] Reality so they wanted me to perform that because of the program and the manner of people that will come there. They really wanted me to do a song that will go well with the occasion. People like that song in Nigeria and South Africa,” he said.

Shatta Wale stated that he was shocked when he had the call to perform at the event.

“It has bought some boost to my career because if Glo has some ambassadors and have called Shatta Wale to be part of their program, then I feel I’m doing something great… I was really shocked because they told me I was the only Ghanaian to perform,” Shatta said.

Other acts billed to perform at the show include Ahmed Soultan, Wizkid, King Sunny Ade, Dija, Korede Bello, Flavour, Omawumi, Sammy Okposo, Bez and Ego.

The Glo CAF Awards is slated for January 7, 2015, in Nigeria, Abuja. The event is held annually to celebrate the continent’s finest football stars.
