Italian Sere A giants AC Milan have officially completed the signing of Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng on a free transfer.

Boateng terminated his contract with German club Schalke 04 early last month and decided to return to the San Siro where he has been training since September.

According to reports in Italy, Boateng’s contract has officially been deposited with the Lega Serie A, the league’s governing body.

This means Milan can field him in competitive matches.

Boateng made 100 appearances in his previous spell with the Rossoneri, scoring 17 goals and helping his side to clinch the 2011 Scudetto.

He joined Schalke in 2013 for a €10m fee after falling out with the Diavolo.
