Man, 25 dies in a football game

A 25-year man named Alhassan, a.k.a Ketuu met his untimely death while playing in a football gala organized at Kobeng in Atwima Nwabiagya district in the Ashanti region Sunday.

The deceased who is a known good footballer suddenly collapsed on the pitch in the course of the game, where he was rushed to Toase medical hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Alhassan is reportedly not a resident of Kobeng, but was invited by a friend to come and play for the community in the game.

Kasapa FM’s reporter in the area, Benjamin Kwarteng said what shocked the spectators was the fact that Alhassan had earlier not shown any sign of ill health, as he had already played in two games.

The incident ended the otherwise exciting event abruptly, and rather threw the entire area into a state of mourning.

Locals say they had never witnessed such an unfortunate happening in the area.
