Former Minister of Youth and Sports Honourable Mahama Ayariga is set to build a modern sports complex in the Bawku Municipality.

The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central cleared the grounds for the construction of the Sports Complex in the coming months.

The 41-year-old recently acquired Tamale All Stars in the Division One League and has since rebranded it as Real Bawku United.

Information pieced together by Sports crusader have it that preparations are far advanced in terms of putting up the sports complex at the Bawku Municipal.

Sources close to the former Youth and Sports Minister hinted at the commencement of work in the coming weeks after securing the needed documentation.

The news will come in as handy for Northern Ghana as a whole, with only Tamale based Utrecht Academy available in the three regions.

The honourable Member of Parliament for Bawku Central also gave a facelift to the home ground of the newly branded Real Bawku United ahead of the 2016 GN Bank Division One League.

The ex-Youth and Sports Minister bankrolled the affairs of the Division One side in a turbulent season in Zone I but has since breathed new life into the rejuvenated second tier side.
